Eastman Family: Lake Powell 2013

Amazing experiences of Lake Powell 2013:

Drew's List

1) Getting to know Paige and Kaiden and the spiritual experiences and happiness they felt and the fun they had (It is difficult for me to describe how special I know this part of the trip was and how important and what an eternal impact I know it will have on their lives....for made every single part of the whole trip worth it for this one thing).

2) Jaida and Vienna running into each others arms at Walmart in Springville and then being cute little BFF.s throughout the trip.

3) Evening meals prepared by each family were beyond amazing!

4) Armon running hard up the beach helping Ashton get up on the wakeboard with Lilly and Paige out in the water holding him at the start.

5) Fireworks at night from all the other houseboats with the back drop of the red rock and moon.

6) Rain storm with flash floods and resultant waterfalls shooting out of the red rocks (that was truly one of the most amazing sights I have every seen...straight out of King Kong and would have to be one of the 7 wonders of the world).

7) Wakesurf set with all the adults and everyone getting up and having fun with Dre taking tons of amazing pic and Dave getting up with his elbow because of his broken fingers and Stace getting up even with his broken arm!

8) Uncle Dave teaching Armon and Paige to wakesurf....absolutely unforgetable and still can't believe how long Armon road his very first time trying.

9) Final wakeboard set with Clark and other adults with Clark landing the flips.......probably one of the most fun sets I have ever had or experienced. That was special.

10) Stace jumping into the lake with that floaty plastic bag sticking up over his hot pink cast.

11) Dangling rope Ice cream

12) Gabe discovering and then our adventure and pics and then sound of stacey's stereo as we traveled up "chai" canyon.

13) HD movies and trip pictures on top of the houseboat

14) Talking with Stacey on the way back from Wahweep

15) Sitting on top of the Houseboat Sunday afternoon on the lawn chairs and seeing the incredibly beautiful scenery of lake powell as the houseboat slowly creeped along.

16) Cousins playing in the water and having fun together all day non-stop.

17) Happiness of the young cousins taking the boat out by themselves without adults and then watching Gabe and Paige and Kaiden and Armon shred out there from a distance. They all told me they had so much fun doing that.

18) Campfire fireside and testimonies and smores and then telling the ghost story of the "last grizzly bear in Utah."

Watching Paige Wakeboard and Wakesurf for the first time and rocking out to tunes on the tube. That smile of hers HUGE and priceless!

Seeing Ashton wake board and ride on the water while being pulled by his cousins and Dad! being supported and cheered on by all the cousins

Roasted starbursts s'mores with my Nieces and nephews telling ghost stories with them

Bringing candy cane hot coco they could enjoy

seeing the 4 littles get along so well sleeping togetger every night playing swimming

Seeing Jaida get so confident in the water swimming

Going down the slide with Kimber and Shayna and riding the tube with them

Staying in the hotel with the teenagers reading scriptures and praying with them. Seeing Armon pull out the Book of Mormon I marked for him out of his back pack and telling me he carries it everywhere he goes. Than watching him choose a scripture and reading from the Book of Mormon to our family and with Paige and Kaden.

Being so grateful for duct tape plastic cups and Stacey's engineering skills to enjoy the AC more

shayna and I gathering the kids and having them write down their thoughts and feelings about the trip in a journal --- Paige's thoughts bright tears to my eyes me stace Shayna hugged and shayna and I cried

Watching Paige transform and smile seeing her so so happy she never complained once or asked for her electronics!!!

She did not want to leave she wanted to stay she felt something different

Having the most amazing discussion with Paige and Kaden about the first vision, about our beliefs, the Resurrection, The Plan of Salvation

Having an awesome conversation with Kaden on top of the Houseboat watching the sunset. Kaden asks, "Do you think this is what heaven looks like?" "Where does Jesus live?"

Overcoming my fear and jumping the wake on the wakeboard since I got hurt last Summer that is all I wanted to accomplish

We were all safe and protected that was a huge positive!

Dave, Kimber, Clark and Robin had minor bruising from crashing their boat. Glad they were all okay and that we were there to be able to help them get them and their boat safely back to Waiweap Marina!

By the way our favorite part about the whole trip was seeing all of guys and spending good quality time with family and friends. Whether I sat on a house boat the whole time or not just being around all of u guys and getting jacked to see some awesome sessions that u all had was our highlight. Glad we could all make it even though we had two gimps and a torn up boat. Hopefully Powell will still be around for the next couple of years so we can continue to make this a tradition. Love u guys.
