Happy Mother's Day

"Mothers Are Primarily Responsible For The Nurturing Of Their Children." (taken from the The Family: A Proclamation To The World.)

Enjoy This Video On Motherhood by The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

One of my favorite hymns that mentions our Heavenly Mother: "Oh My Father"

My favorite songs For Mothers: Love Is Spoken Here, Mother, Tell Me The Story, I Often Go Walking, A Child's Prayer

I am grateful this Mother's Day for all the beautiful women in our family who have nutured and inspired me. Who have helped me live righteously, who have helped me make right choices, who have helped me feel close to my Savior Jesus Christ by their kindness, love and example, who have guided me, who have stood by me, who have shown compassion and strength, who have shown me what MOTHERHOOD truely is, THANK YOU!

The Women in Our Family:
Grandma Eastman: I am so grateful for the wonderful memories I have of Grandma Eastman. She lived in Canada so we didn't live close to her. Everytime we took trips, since her passing away, I took advantage and went every time and I am so glad I did. I admire her love of creating a home. She loved the outdoors and had beautiful gardens. I admire her strength through adversity. I will never forget the love and compassion she showed me through such difficult times in my life. Grandma Barber: I admire her desire to take care of herself (mental excercises, those cross word puzzles and the small excercises she did because she was afflicted with Parkinson's Disease) I admire her stength through adversity. She never forgot a birthday, anniversary or special event in the family. I love her wonderful letters and phone calls. Her testimony of the Restored Gospel Of Jesus Christ blesses my life everyday. I admire her record keeping and journaling.

My Mother Raised Seven Children: I love my mother, Sharry Lynn Barber Eastman! What a strength she is to me. Her faith is unwaivering. I admire her strength through adversity. She was the one constant in my life. I am grateful she made me feel like number one among seven children (we each feel this way). I admire her talents of provident living, of sewing, canning, gardening and keeping a home. I never really appreciated all she did for us until now. I wish I spent more time learning these very important skills. How did she raise 3 in diapers at the same time? How did she raise twins? Yes, I am the one in the photo scowling - Deirdre Lynn

Eastman MothersWe love you Mother!!! Thank you for continuing to bless our lives!!
