Hi Mom and Dad!

We sure love you. We hope you enjoy your new blog. It is a fun way to journal and keep a fun record for posterity, always in cyberspace. Don't worry I will teach you how to use it and you will never look back. It will be a fun way for the family to keep in touch. We made sure the blog page is completely secure and safe for all users.

I want to explain the music I selected for Mom and Dad. I did ask Dad about his favorite songs, all of us came to know Mom's favorites through the music she played throughout the house, not just during Holidays. They are believers in good music and always filled our home with it. On all those long road trips they also came prepared. I remember the music quizes dad would have with Jennifer, do you remember that (name that tune), and than of course Dad playing the piano with literally one finger and one hand and singing. How many of us think of those fun memories way back when . . . .

When we hear . . . the sounds of Willy Nelson, Lady in Red, Memories, Yanni, John Denver, and Elvis. I tried to get Grandma's Feather Bed, working on it. I also added Celtic and Hawaiian music. I love that about mom. She introduced us to love the sounds of other cultures. That is what she gave us. People think it is so interesting I (Deirdre) have all types of music in my collection from Hawaiian, to Indian, to Celtic - That is because of our Mother and Father.

A Day Always To Remember

All Seven Children made it to the San Diego Temple. A proud day for our parents to see all of their children in the Celestial Room. A day I hope we will never forget. I know our parents will always remember!

I am so thankful to share my testimony with you. I have so much to be grateful for and it begins with you! I remember those early years of being taught the importance of tithing and marking and reading in the Book of Mormon. I appreciate those countless hours of Family Home Evening. Thank you for teaching me the Gospel of Jesus Christ in your home. I know that Jesus Christ lives today with a body of flesh and bones, that he Resurrected from the tomb and gave his life on Calvary. I know that he suffered in the Garden of Gethsamene for me and for the entire world. I know that he is my Savior. I know He created this world and I know He loves me. I know I have a Father in Heaven who also has a body of flesh and bones. Who is my eternal Father in Heaven, who loves me and cares for me and desires so much for me to return to His presence. I know He gave us the Great Plan of Happiness and gave us tools and guidance to know how to make it through mortality so that I can return and live with Him someday. I know Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father appeared to the boy Joseph Smith in the Sacred Grove. He received inspiration and guidance from them and through them he restored the Gospel back on this earth. I know Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon through the power and direction of God. I love this Book. It contains the truthfulness of the Gospel and those things that were removed from ancient literature are now restored. It is another Testament of Jesus Christ and reveals the Great Plan of Happiness in the most simplest form. It goes hand in hand with the Bible, the Doctrine and Covenants and the Pearl of Great Price. What a treasure of knowledge we have! I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. He spoke the will and mind of the Lord. I know that President Hinkley is the prophet of God today. He is guiding this church through the power and direction of God.
